What’s in the name?

Our name is inspired by both the natural phenomenon of an eddy—a circular movement of water that flows counter to the main current—and by the remarkable legacy of our founder's great grandmother, Edith. Much like an eddy, Edith went against the common current to support and uplift those around her. She was reliable, smart, kind, and generous, embodying the qualities we believe are critical to collaboration.
